    I think Pop Evil are kind of bad so, this doesn't mean much coming from me but their biggest song, Waking Lions, is definitely their best. The fact that they're ten times better when they're making extremally poppy sounding rock that sounds like it should be used as a theme song to a kids show then when they're making metal music despite being a metal band is very weird but it turns out to be the case

    Re Adele: Rolling in the Deep is the single most unique & original chart topper of the 2010s IMO. I thought it was going to lead to a genre shift toward increased musicality, but instead of a movement, it was only a moment.

    I had the same reaction to Missy Eliot's get up freak on in the 2000s, and Prince's when doves cry in the 80s.

    I think a lot of these are slightly wrong in regards to what their most popular song is. I'd say:
    Ed Sheeran = Shape of You
    Lady Gaga = Bad Romance
    Rihanna = Umbrella
    Adele = Hello
    Maroon 5 = Sugar
    Justin Bieber = Baby

    Some artists who are primarily pop artists usually tend to release their best songs as singles to hit the top of the pop charts. However, a lot of artists, particularly rock and hip-hop artists, tend to release their most accessible songs as singles, knowing that their best tracks tend to be deep cuts from their album that usually doesn't play well on pop radio.

    Everything you said about Creep is how I feel about all of Pablo Honey. Its a good 90's alt rock album! It gets unfair slander because the band would go on to make some of the best rock albums of all time.

    I'm glad as F that Shape Of You isn't Ed Sheeran's best song. It sounds too much like a paint by numbers cash grab. I'm not much of a fan of his but I do keep an eye on his music.

    Pixies are my favorite band and I have always found “Where is My Mind” both incredibly boring and unrepresentative of the rest of their discography. Even their second or third biggest hits, “Debaser” or “Here Comes Your Man” are better reflections of their sound in my opinion. WIMM just comes of as so uninspired and basic to me

    We Found Love is one of the worst songs I've ever heard and it fascinates me how music critics seem to love it. Nothing about it works IMO. Everything on the track, especially the vocals, is mixed horribly, the vocal melody that repeats throughout the whole song gets annoying after the first chorus and is so bland you could literally back it up with any chord progression and it'd fit it fine. Calvin Harris also provides some of his shittest material on this song too. It's a true 0/10 and Rhianna deserves better.

    Calling Creep a "silly little track" is utterly bizarre. It's clearly Yorke's most heartfelt song, and that is exactly why he has come to hate it. It captures him at the lowest point in his life, an ugly unsuccessful student at a B-tier Uni. I fully understand being reminded of the very real desperation of that period is not something you want to relive every show, but that doesn't change the fact that Creep is by far his most emotionally honest and hard hitting track.

    I'd say MJ's biggest hit has to be Billie Jean. Billie Jean is basically its own word in the dictionary and the moonwalk is iconic. I mean, if Pop Smoke, a 20 something year old born a decade and a half after the song out is referencing it, you know thats your biggest hit

    Honestly if you think Lady Gaga’s “Shallow” is boring then you really gotta listen to Floor Jensen’s version of it, I’m sure Gaga’s fans won’t like me saying this but Floor’s vocals make Gaga look average

    I would love to see another of these. Not only is the topic just interesting, it also gives me new music recommendations based on what you think is better.

    I could argue that shake it off is more on the distrack side of taylor than her other emotional songs, is a distrack to media that at the time used to be on her everyday, criticising her for everything, hence the opening lines of the song. Its not her best, but i enjoy a lot the up beat and "f* you" attitude.

    Bad guy is absolutely terrible. It literally sounds like a ripoff of plants vs zombies and doesn’t represent any of her early (and best) very breathy and soft songs that made her big in the first place.
