Somehow, of the mental disabilities, having multiple personalities seems the worst. I know it’s not a contest what’s better what’s worse and ultimately, it’s how they master the everyday challenges and we – the broad public – reacts. Which is why it’s important to be aware. Only then can we help and they be helped coping.

By definition if "personalities" are talking to each other they're not a multiplicity. This is the developing stance of most providers these days. These are delusions or attention seeking behaviors common to people with BPD

I see a lot of naysayers. It might help believability if they'd gone more into how & why they were diagnosed. Especially if they spoke to some of the therapists who are working with these patients. My friend has it & I have dealt with her and her alters for 30 some years. I was a little doubtful at first, but after speaking with some of them, they are too genuine as individuals. The imagination required to keep this many individuals & their backstories all sorted would be impossible. The personalities keep their own stories straight & while the central personality may know a general description, they are also aware that there are gaps in their memories where the others had control.

I have a daughter who has emotional problems and I find this helpful, I know she has DID, I've heard the child when she is really stressed. She is bypoler, and has time loss but we'll not get help. She does not realize when she does actions that cause confusion.

🤔 I don’t believe that they have personality disorder. Is all a show and notice how they all look and dress the same. Didn’t even finish watching the video 😂

These immature children would “be” diabetic, epileptic or even “have” cancer if it suited them better as a means to be different or skirt real responsibility.

Unusual, hard to believe this real. But could you imagine being in this state for many years. Wish there was more info from a professional who diagnosed, if there is treatment and what supports they need to have in place.

I feel like these are not personality disorders more like they’re just very immature, had/have no friends and the parents let them ”express themselves” freely. I am on the spectrum and want to act like a 10 yo sometimes but that’s not another personality it’s immaturity coming thru

Hard to believe you have 400 personalities yet you dress the same every day. There's little too no change. Not saying people can't have this. I just don't think every case is legit.
Switching just because you see candy?? Doubtful.

We have been diagnosed with DID and it can definitely be challenging but the key is to heal at your own pace and learn how to communicate with your alters. We have about 36 alters

Is it just me or are they all of the same exact social clique. They all look and dress the same. The 2 who hang out are each others worst enemy. It’s like a thing to do for them.

Although this does happen, people self-diagnosing from something they see on tik Tok is not valid. I know someone who has this and when she's in a different personality she is like a totally different person. The documentary did not list the DSM-5 requirements for did. As I recall, one of them is that one does not remember what happens when they are in a different personality. I might have stopped the documentary too early but I did not see any psychiatrist backing these people's claims of what they have. I have severe bipolar disorder which has been diagnosed flippantly in young people these days just because they have good days and bad days. I've been in jail for being manic, I have maxed out $30,000 in credit cards over one weekend at a Giorgio Armani store. It's destroyed every relationship I've ever had. I've never been married. I can't hold down a job where I end up in the psychiatric hospital. My family and friends have ended our relationships long ago. Now all I have is myself and my dog in this world. Didn't the narrator say at the beginning that this is the worst psychiatric condition to have? I really doubt that. Talk to someone who has severe schizophrenia. It's videos like these that put a light-hearted twist on mental illness which is a very very serious in life destroying thing.
